2.4 sequence hang after sequence paused

Running 2.4.0.2629

Running a sequence this evening I paused the sequence with the “wait for current frame to complete” option. After the frame completed, the status bar said “Downloading…” but never progressed beyond that for several minutes and I had to exit from SGP.

Andy,
From your log it looks like it was in the middle of a 30 minute exposure. I see where the exposure started

[1/13/2015 6:46:15 PM] [DEBUG] [Camera Thread] ASCOM (QSI) camera: setting normal speed readout...

And ~5 minutes later where it was aborted:

[1/13/2015 6:51:11 PM] [DEBUG] [Main Thread] User requested sequence abort...

I’m wondering if the “Downloading…” message didn’t get cleared from the plate solve? It does appear that SGP was in fact exposing a new image though.

Thanks,
Jared

Jared,

Thanks for looking at it. I did abort an image at 6:46:15 and ran AF, but my problem happened after that:

exposure starts:

[1/13/2015 6:54:34 PM] [DEBUG] [Camera Thread] ASCOM (QSI) camera: setting normal speed readout...

I hit pause, no abort option

[1/13/2015 7:23:57 PM] [DEBUG] [Main Thread] User requested sequence pause...

exposure completes (around here is when it showed “Downloading” in the status bar):

[1/13/2015 7:24:51 PM] [DEBUG] [Camera Thread] QSI expose and download: 1817349
[1/13/2015 7:24:51 PM] [DEBUG] [Camera Thread] SGM_CAMERA_CAPTURE complete...

at this point I knew something was wrong so tried to abort and found SGP was stuck so exited SGP:

[1/13/2015 7:29:44 PM] [DEBUG] [Main Thread] User requested sequence abort...

I also checked the output folder and observed there was nothing there. It really looks like SGP got stuck without downloading the image from the camera.

Andy

I do not believe it is possible to enter this condition in build 2633 or higher.

Great, thanks Ken. I’m running 2633 now so hopefully this is no longer an issue.
