very dumb question: doesn’t SGP already do this? what is different now?

It does in some cases… now it does it in all.

thanks. to clarify, if the first target has a start time in the future, do you unpark/track when the start time arrives, or when the user presses the “start sequence” button?

In that case, it should be when the target start time comes… it it’s happening before, that is a bug.

i will double check this next time i run; not sure anymore what behavior i’ve seen.

OK - i can see what is happening; as part of the servo init APCC is unparking the mount, but leaving tracking at 0. then when SGP hits the start time, it enables tracking. so everything is working properly!
