I’m about to purchase an Altair Hypercam 183C camera and would like to know if this camera is supported in SG Pro or if there are any plans to support it. If it is not supported natively can I use the Altair ASCOM driver ? If you think the ASCOM driver would work what would I need to do to set this up (i.e. where is it installed, how do I point SG Pro at it, what do I enter into the camera settings ?). I regularly use SG Pro with my Canon DSLR and do all my target location using the plate-solving capabilities so would like to do the same with the Altair camera.
I use an Altair GP-CAM mono with SGP and it’s fine. The ASCOM driver connects and controls the camera with no issues.
