I have just replaced my laptop with a Win 10 laptop.
Can I copy the ANSVR files over, or do I have to use the installer to download them again?

Nigel,

You need to run the installer to install ansvr, but you can just copy the astrometric index files over to avoid having to download them again. The index files are in the folder

C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Local\cygwin_ansvr\usr\share\astrometry\data\
