ASI1600MM every 2nd image drops

Good day all,

I recently started using an ASI1600MM-cool cmos camera and have some issues during image acquisition in SGP.
The camera seems to hang up every second frame, only 1 out 2 frames is saved succesfully to my pc. The sequence runs fine, but when it is time to save the image I get the following error message:
http://www.astronomie.be/pieter.vandevelde/asi1600/Capture.PNG

Followed by the next error:
http://www.astronomie.be/pieter.vandevelde/asi1600/Capture2.PNG

I am running the camera in Unity gain setting, and have the usb limit set to minimum. My system is a 64-bit laptop running Windows 8, with 6GB of ram. It is a USB2.0 system. I am not using a USB hub. SGP version: 2.6.0.12, I installed the latest ASI ascom drivers downloaded from the asi website.
It seems like the system is not able to download the frame in time and chokes on them. I have tried using another USB cable and tried all available usb ports but the problem persists.

I have attached the log file. The issue occurs at 22:03:33 and 22:14:26. Weird thing is the frame between these 2 errors was saved succesfully. The error seems to show some memory problem? There is still plenty of HD space available and 6 GB of RAM should be sufficient to run this camera in SGP?

Anyone have an idea what is going on here?

Thank you,

This problem was fixed in 2.6.0.17.

Ok great to hear that. I’ll update to that version and will try again.

Thanks!
