Auto center validation problem

When using the auto center routine I have the following problem:

The mount is slewed to the target, a reference frame is taken and plate solved using PS2. This works fine. Then a slewing command is sent to the mount and a validation frame is taken, but the integration of the validation frame starts immediatly after sending the slewing command. This results in having star trails from the slew in the validation frame and sometimes the solver fails due to this

I am using EQMOD to control my mount which is EQ6-R Pro.

Now, my question is concerning the protocol between SGP and EQMOD. Is SGP waiting (or should wait) until the slew is complete? Can I adjust any parameters in SGP or EQMOD to overcome this issue?

Thanks,

Heiko

You can try setting a ā€œsettle timeā€ on the Telescope tab - this delay is applied after every ā€œAuto Centerā€ and ā€œCenter Hereā€ command and before image capture will begin.

Hi Steve,
this seems to work - at least with the simulator. Iā€™ll give it a try next time we have clear skies here. Many thanks!
