hi all, this is my first post ( yikes! )
the past few imaging evenings i have been experiencing auto focus “failures”, after which all the subsequent images are badly out of focus
it has only failed after a meridian flip ( probably coincidental only ). it works flawlessly for 4 hours before the flip. i have it set to refocus on every .5 degree change, and it ran quite a few times during that first 4 hours.
the filter was an HA, exposure time was 35 sec ( originally 30, but i added 5 to see if it would help)
last night, when things went south, i was watching the focusing run, the first preview showed stars, but the hfr returned 0.00… i cancelled it after a couple more came back with 0
but then i had to go to bed, apparently the next auto focus run failed as well, and the rest of the images were trashed…
i could see stars on the screen, but sgp apparently couldn’t/didn’t
i’ve attached the log file ( i think i did that right )… i think the run that failed started around 00:47
oh… was crystal clear all night
anyone have any insights?
