I just wondered if there is way to auto-populate the different focus positions for each individual?

Unfortunately not.
I believe this would be a very sought after feature thou, both filter offset and temperature compensation could be calculated from a sequences of subs by extracting the FITS headers

I would really like this as a new feature.
