Autocenter fail

I looked through the posts and didn’t find and answer to this so… I am helping a friend setup a new imaging kit. He has a Skywatcher EQ6-R Pro and we are running EQMOD as the interface to SGP. All works fine except auto center. When the sequence starts the mount slews to target, take a validating sub, plate solves, measures discrepancy (lets say 1000 pixels) makes an initial correction, gets close ~100 pixels, performs a second validation run, fails ~100 pixels, a third attempt, fails ~100 pixels… You get the idea. It ultimately fails to center and aborts the sequence. I assume this is an EQMOD thing but can’t find the answer and was hoping someone here could help out.

Thank you

Try clearing the pointing model in EQMOD and ensuring it’s set to Dialogue Based.

It sounds like the pointing model is fighting against SGP.

Cheers
Ian
