Autofocus reverse direction

Since SGP already uses the language of “compensation direction” I would take the following Help text:

“Compensation will be invoked when the move is opposite the compensation direction.”

And rephrase my feature request as: “The autofocus routine should always go in the direction of the compensation direction.”

If it doesn’t (and it could since it just goes from high to low) it will invoke backlash compensation on every step - and that adds time and introduces errors. It is highly undesirable.

This issue would not affect anyone who truly has no mechanical backlash and has not enabled backlash compensation.

But for those users who have backlash but don’t compensate for it - it will affect their autofocus.

For those users who do have backlash and do have compensation enabled - it seems like about 50% of them would be unwinding backlash on every single focus step - without knowing it.
