Beautiful M74

I’m a little bias but I love SGP. Sometimes I can’t believe how much SGP has transformed my imaging experience.

This image of M74 is a case in point. When I started this image M74 didn’t get high enough until after midnight. At the time I was imaging another object that got too low in the sky by about 1am. So for about two weeks I was imaging two objects in different areas of the sky. This necessitated multiple meridian flips and plate solves etc, and everything worked beautifully. I love getting a good amount of sleep while capturing these images!

Hello Joel, a really beautiful image. I think a new generation of astroimager is born, the “sleeping astrographer”. I try to do sleep if I image at home too.
