In the lower left hand corner of the main window, SGPro is pretty good about telling you what it’s doing (or waiting for).

I also downloaded the newest version of PHD2 guiding, but that presents a problem when it comes to my auto guider camera. It will entail me having to reinstall PHD2, and the SSAG software because, according to the instructions, any time you change the PHD2 version, you need to do that.

Fortunately for you the instructions you were reading are incorrect. Just install the new version of PHD2 over the old, do not uninstall anything.

I believe you are referring to some instructions on the Orion web site that tell you you need to uninstall. This is definitely not necessary. The instructions are only relevant to a specific unsupported ancient version of PHD that Orion distributed with the SSAG camera.

Thanks Andy. I’ll get around to intstalling the new version eventually. Right now I am still working the bugs out of my software/equipment setup/communications.

Good news is that I got PHD2 working tonight. But I ran into my next roadblock which is my Atik EFW2 Filter Wheel not wanting to set up properly. I get the feeling when I closed things up after installing the filters, I didn’t set something properly.

So back to a new task to figure out and fix. Caley
