Images will solve on remote Astronometry site but not my local machine. It runs for a couple minutes and says can’t solve. i look at the ansvr log and it says basically “can’t set up server - address already in us … line 1316”. Help!
That means some other application is using the port and you need to resolve the conflict by either
a. identify the other program and stop it or make it use another port, or
b. choose a different port for ansvr
To find out which program is currently using port 8080 open Resource Monitor, click the Network Tab and look in the Listening Ports section to find the program using port 8080 with protocol TCP.
To choose a different port for ansvr, run-run the installer and select a different port number like 8081 or any number that is not in use (use Resource Monitor to see what is in use.) If you go this route and choose a port other than 8080 for ansvr you also need to update the End Point setting in SGP.
