It sometimes happens that I have a bump while running a sequence. Don’t know why. Maybe guiding on a hotpixel during a cloud pass, or after a recovery.
Ever thought about adding “inbetween platesolve check & recenter”? The check could run in the background and pick up before taking the next sub so you only loose 1 sub.
We’ve had requests for something similar to this before. The tricky part is trying to decide when it’s on purpose vs due to outside factors. It would mean that the target center is always the reference for the image and that any recentering would require updating the target center.
I’ll do some experimentation with this. But it wouldn’t be too difficult to solve the previous image in the background and monitor the position…then make a change on the next frame if needed.
