Color Changes for Night Vision Preservation using a Dark Astro Theme

Several folks have developed Windows 10 Themes for nighttime use in the field in order to not destroy night vision when using SGP.

Most colors in SGP do change, but some objects do not change, or use colors that could use a better selection.

  1. The image toolbar (Frame and Focus or a captured/loaded image file) background is fixed to Gray (around RGB 128 128 128). Can you change it to use the same color that is used for the main window toolbar background?

  2. The PHD2 and Image History graph backgrounds are also gray (around RGB 128 128 128). It too could use the tool window background color.

  3. The Image Histogram tool Dark slider triangle is black. It cannot be seen with dark themes as the window backgrounds are dark. Could you color the triangle the same as the gear icons?

  4. Can you make the gear icons a slightly brighter shade of gray?

Thanks,

Mark,
We’ll consider the color changes. For the PHD2 window you can actually right click on the background/ra/dec and select the colors you’d like to use. Although I have a feeling they may not survive a restart.

Jared,

Thanks for your reply. The background colors do revert to gray on restart.

Jared,
The star history windows do not have color selection options.

Also, the auto-focus graph has a bright, white background.
