I’ve noticed this on occasion. The focuser is supposed to do a backlash comp move out, and it never seems to happen, leaving the focuser in the wrong position when the exposure starts. For example, in the log linked below I had just completed an AF run (with a lum filter) which settled at 35183. Then I started an Ha exposure, and the focuser should have moved 500 steps out for the backlash comp, then settled on 35243 (lum+60 steps). Instead, the focuser appeared to just freeze for a minute, then threw a timeout, and then the exposure started with the focuser still at 35183. Any idea why this happened?
