Failure to switch target at specified time

Description

Tonight I was running a sequence containing 3 targets. The first target was the Double Cluster. It had a start time, but the end time was left blank and was unticked. The second target (Cone Nebula) had a start time of 20:02 and this was ticked. However, the Target 1 (DC) sequence continued to image Target 1 through this time (I spotted it at 20:10).

I’m pretty sure that leaving the end time in Target 1 blank but having a start time for Target 2 used to work. But I cannot be certain about that.

Any ideas?

SGPro currently does not infer an end time of a target based on the start time of the next target. End times are used to end targets, start times are used to delay a target’s start.

Understood. Has that always been the case?

Yes, this has never changed since its inception, but the “continuous imaging” mode discussed as part of 4.0 will force change here.
