Guiding does not get disabled when using a flip flat to take flats mid target. When the flip flat is closed, guiding should stop.

Agree. I have requested the same when manually adding a flat box mid sequence to take flats. I assume this is mostly for those using an OAG? Only addition is perhaps an optional Plate solve on resumption of lights in case the guide star has drifted too much.
I’d also like being able to force a focus run before taking flats, and the ability to just reset flat frame events but those are for different feature requests I think.
If you keep your flat frames in a different target, you can just reset that target. If they are in the same target that is a feature request.
I have my flats in a target for each rotator angle I use… So for 110 degrees I have a target, and 240 I have a target. Since they’re in the same sequence with my normal targets SGP tries to guid through the flats because guiding is required by the sequence.
