This would be a great feature and one I would love to see, many nights here it does not clear till quite late, a fair few times woken up the morning an see it cleared a 1am and stayed that way till the morning.
Normally such situations are forecast so is something you would only setup if there was a good chance of clear late.
The pause on safety would also be a nice feature, I have also started a session only to be stopped for a hr or so of cloud, if watching it I will manually dismiss the end of seq options and either close the roof manually and leave everything running or shutdown for a couple of hrs and restart - recently this has been my imaging life as the UK has been ‘blessed’ with the jetstream for the past 3mths so have been reduced to grabbing subs when we can.
There is a lot to consider with the pause approach, is it just a roof close (can it close without parking the scope), do you stop the mount tracking, cool the camera etc
Also in this situation that is a lot of human decision making going on, checking my allsky, running around outside do a visual check, looking at weather sites and Sat24 etc working out if it worth hanging about for a possible clear patch - automation of that will be a challenge.
