First successful image

Although I have been an active amateur astronomer for more than 40 years, I have only recently started the transition to the dark side. Lots of experimentation with CCDSoftV, MaximDL, Nebulosity, etc. Trying to learn to auto guide, get exposure times correct, learning PixInsight!

My transition to SGP really was the beginning of a successful integration of everything needed to take astro images you can be happy with. This past weekend, I was able to make a four hour imaging run on the Veil Nebula where everything just worked. In a sense, this is my first real astro photo.

With SGP and great hardware, I am looking forward to a lot of imaging in future.

it’s beautiful chase. Nice job!

Fantastic job! With SGP, I often have the wonderful problem while imaging of boredom. It sure smooths out a complicated process.
