Flipping data after a meridian flip: it does not seem to happen

When SGP does a meridian flip, do I have to click the flip data button in SGP or will SGP do it automatically? Does the button in SGP replace the same function in PHD2?
I have gone thru 2 meridian flip so far and the data does not flip on its own. As soon as the tracking resumes on the other side of the median, it goes way off. I must be missing something?

It should flip automatically. I’d recommend connecting your mount via ASCOM in PHD2. If you already have it connected then it’s likely some setting in PHD2 that needs to be set to flip the data correctly.

Thanks,

That’s right, you’ll need to have an ASCOM mount connection in PHD2.

Once you have that, it should just work. There’s only one PHD2 setting to be aware of: Reverse dec output after meridian flip, and the PHD2 user manual describes how to tell if you need that option checked or not.
