Gemini SnapCap (flatfield)

Hello, I understand the above is now supported directly in SGPro. However, I wanted to hear from users how well does it work. For example, at the end of an imaging sequence can you get the SnapCap to move into position, start doing flats and then shut down ?
Thank you

Yes, I have a Gemini SnapCap and they work well. I have it close at the end of the night and take flats. One thing that I have found is that it takes a couple of minutes to “warm up” on colder nights. Otherwise the ADU on the flats tends to creep up. I generally just set it to a brighter value and have SGP take a 5 minute flat at the beginning of the sequence to warm it up.

Thanks,
Jared

Thank you, including the useful tip.
