Guiding with the MyT mount

I’m trying to set up guiding in SGP with the MyT mount. Do I use the ST4 cable from my guider to the MyT and then use PHD2. Or do I omit the cable and use the direct mount guider option instead of the PHD2 option in SGP. I will connect the mount using theskyx drivers in SGP

Either method will work.
I use a ST4 cable because it works more reliably with my “quirky” ZWO 120MM guide camera.

This is more of a PHD2 question than an SGP Question. There’s a forum for PHD2 here: Redirecting to Google Groups

Methods for connecting the mount to PHD2 are described in the Equipment Connection section of the PHD2 user guide: Manual - PHD2 Guiding

PHD2 supports both the direct mount guider option via the SkyX ASCOM driver, or the ST4 connection. If you decide to use the ST4 cable for some reason, be sure to specify the SkyX ASCOM driver as the Aux Mount in PHD2 so that PHD2 can know where the scope is pointing.

To summarize the options:

Direct connect only (just the USB cable, you can remove the ST4 cable)

   Mount = ASCOM Telescope Driver for TheSky
   Aux Mount = None

ST4 guiding (USB cable and ST4 cable)

   Mount = On-camera
   Aux Mount = ASCOM Telescope Driver for TheSky

Andy. Thank you very much!
