FYI, in the last version of ASTAP 0.9.365 there is a significant improvement introduced for ignoring hot pixels in the image. This will result in a more reliable solving.
If your using ASTAP in combination with an uncooled camera and have some solving reliability problems, I would suggest to try the latest ASTAP version.
