Hypercam 183 Gain not working

Hi all,
I’m currently halfway through trialling SGpro, but the gain on my Hypercam 183C doesn’t seem to work.
The latest ASCOM is installed and works OK. I’ve also installed the latest ASCOM driver from Altair Astro, but all my captured images are way too dark.
For example, when stacking, DSS only finds about 10 stars!
This might be a stupid question, but should the gain be set in the Altair ASCOM driver or should it be set under the control panel?

I have the QHY183M which also uses an Ascom driver, I set the Gain/Offset in there rather than in SGPro

This depends on whether or not you feel the need to vary gain based on the type of image you are trying to capture. If you don’t need to vary it, just set it in the driver and be done. Otherwise, you can vary gain by binning and even set specific gains for an event.

Note that there is a gain bug for Altair cameras that is addressed in the latest 3.1 beta.
