IC1396 - Elephant’s Trunk Nebula

The Elephant’s Trunk nebula is a concentration of interstellar gas and dust within the much larger ionized gas region IC 1396 located in the constellation Cepheus about 2,400 light years away from Earth

Image consists of
18x 300S - Luminance
18x 300S - Red
18x 300S - Green
18x 300S - Blue
8x 600S - Hydrogen Alpha (As lighten layer in Red Channel)

All data was obtained over two nights, 7th and 8th September

I am extremely happy with the way this turned out, I am planning on producing a Hubble Palette version of this when I capture additional HA, OIII and SII narrowband images
