Importing observing lists from SkySafari

I have been using SGP for the past few weeks (demo version). Great program, but still learning.

The thing is that for capturing I use a PC laptop with SGP, but planning and post-processing I do it on my Mac. It would be great if I could import SkySafari observing lists.

SGP needs to import three things to be successful: object name, object’s RA, and object’s DEC.

The problem is that SkySafari observing lists contain SkySafari’s CatalogNumber and not RAs and Decs. Even if you could import them you’d still need to look up and then enter that information into SGP.

A SkySafari skylist entry for M42 looks like this (copied from SS’s FAQ):
