Making flats while camera is warming up?

I typically make my flats at the end of the imaging session. When I try to get the flat session going I get the message that it is not possible to do so while the camera is warming up. Why is SGP set up in a way to prevent the user from making the flats while the camera is warming up?
It would be a time saver to make those flats while the camera is warming up…especially in the wee hours of the morning and you still have to take everything apart and then drive home

Thanks

The question I have is, why would you want to take your flats while the
camera is warming up? Although flat temp is not as critical as it is for
darks/bias, you still want to take all your calibration frames (flats
included) at the same temp as your lights.

You probably have the camera settings set to warm up the camera when the
sequence is finished (lights) and then you come out and manually take your
flats later. I would suggest either disabling the camera warm up setting,
or take your flats in the evening prior to the imaging run.

I want to take my flats as quickly as possible after imaging as I want to get back home to get some sleep  As you said, temperature is not critical for flats. I don’t see any difference if the camera is at a different temperature.
I found a way-around-solution ; I start warming the camera as soon as the flat session starts. Not as quick as initiating warm up before but it still allows me to get to bed quicker.
