Having trouble manual focusing. When trying to use the graph going from fuzzy to sharp focusing it doesn’t change enough to use. I use the HFR reading it jumps all around and the stars are visually barley changing, can’t use it. So I go back and forth from the scope to the PC to adjust and visually observe stars. Another problem is the graph & text is too small so I can’t read it from the scope.

Is there any way to pick one star to get a large HFR for just that star, so I can focus.

It would be much easier if you got a bahtinov mask and focused with that. They work very well.

Actually until SGP makes it easy, I’m going to focus using Nebulosity (really nice for focusing) then go to SGP.

I agree using SGP frame and focus with a Bhatinov mask works well enough that when I did the routine to determine the correct focuser step size it was with in 10 steps of the Bhatinov position after completing the first auto focus run.
