New feature request - recognise the object being imaged and make sure the right filters are chosen..? ;-)

I have not done much imaging (read, none!) due to work and other pressures - so finding a few nights that are a) clear and b) free are rare!

So it doesn’t help when I pick an emission nebula and then use the Ha filter for 4.5 hours!! Still, it was a good test to brush off cobwebs and ensure that everything still talked to everything and I could remember how it all worked!

I’m not sure I follow. Photographing emission nebulae with a hydrogen-alpha filter is very common. What’s wrong with that?

perhaps s/he meant a reflection nebula?
