Hi Forum,
Just bought a new micro pc running windows 10 Pro and when I tried to “register machine”, I got the error message “Padding is invalid and cannot be removed”.
Before loading SGP version 3.03.151, I had installed Ascom 6.4, which required Net.Framework 3.5 to be activated on the PC. Did that in order to load Ascom software.
However it appears that the error message for registering on SGP was due to Net.Framework 3.5 being active.
Deactivating it allowed me to register this new PC from SGP trial to a retail version.
Then reactivated Net.Framework once registered for (I assume ?) Ascom to continue functioning correctly.
Hope that may help someone in this predicament.
Clear Skies.
