Parking scope with EQ8 with EQmod

There is no problem parking the scope at the end of the sequence for me. The issue is that it goes to the zero position instead of the predefined park position. Is there a different park command that needs to be issued? Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?? Thanks … Bruce

Bruce,
I have not used SGP with an EQMod scope, we do have some suggestions in our help file but it’s generally geared towards meridian flips:

I know with my G11 I could set what the ASCOM “Park” command meant. I could have it park at a set position, counter weight down or just have it stop tracking where it was at. Maybe EQMod has a similar setting for the park position in the ASCOM driver?

If not maybe someone more knowledgeable about EQMOD things will come around.

Thanks,
Jared

Thanks Jared,

I will check with the eqmod people. I was just hoping someone else had solved this issue…… Bruce

OK solved the problem, it turns out to be very simple. Ascom allows for the command setpark, which sets the park position wherever the mount is currently pointing. Our extraordinary developers were kind enough to put this very command in the Telescope Widget, and sure enough it works…
