What’s your setup? What mount are you using? Personally I’ve had issues with meridian flips and my solution was to turn on detailed ASCOM logging and practice meridian flips on a target during the day. Just pick a star that is west by about 5 degrees… Then manually command SGP to perform a meridian flip. The answer will be in your SGP log or your ASCOM log.

If you’re reading the log… It happens at 2-14-51. Basically says it commanded the slew and your mount decided not to flip. My guess is your mount slew limits differ from the values you input to SGP’s meridian flip. These values have to match or be close enough or your mount won’t command the flip when SGP thinks it needs it.

@Werner the log you attached appears to be incomplete. We can’t do much to help with partial logs.

Hello,
the log was over 1024kb so i must cut it to upload…
thanks ,
its an EQ6 Goto with an SW8"PDS ,G2-8300

i have not set any limits by myself…ok i look at this…thanks for the hint where to look…

Zip it up before posting.

Logs are very repetitive and will typically compress to about 10% of their size.

OK this must it be from time stamp…sg_logfile_20150703225440.zip (93.2 KB)

I am not sure what happened here. PHD2 was calibrating itself as expected, then failed. I can’t really say waht happened w/o the corresponding PHD debug logs.

As for the meridian flip, @mads0100 assessment looks to be correct.

Further evidence that your scope decided just to stay where it was (instead of flipping):

[04.07.2015 02:14:46] [DEBUG] [Telescope Thread] Telescope: Slewing to J2000 RA: 13,5012085650186 Dec: 47,2334042553192

[04.07.2015 02:14:47] [DEBUG] [Telescope Thread] Scope has completed slewing

Unless your mount can perform a meridian flip in about 1 second, then it did not move… Also, I want this mount.

Hello,
LOL sad but this is not the magic mount its only an eq6;)

i have the log but its to big…even ziped…and rar arenot allowed…or splitted in 1024kb piecec…sorry

We know that logs can sometimes exceed 1 or 2 mb. When they do we recommend
a free, reputable service like dropbox for hosting these files.

Ok shame on me…it can be so simple…here we go…
