PlateSolve Exposure staying at 1S duration no matter what I set!

For some reason, the plate solve routine will only take a one second exposure, even if I have it set for anything else. This makes plate solving impossible in some parts of the sky.

I am using an EOS camera, and have it set to Manual, I also have gone back, disconnected, reconnected with APT or similar and verified that I can take exposures of any duration.

Is this a bug?

V.3 by the way.

Check control panel… Plate solve tab. Look for the exposure settings there. Will have ISO and exposure time.

Learn about the profile templates and the current active sequence. How they work independently.

Yes, that is EXACTLY where I have set ISO and Exposure, yet it ignores it and does a one second exposure no matter what.

Better upload your Logs from that night, will show.

Hang on - doesn’t an EOS have to be on Bulb to work with SGP?

It is! I think I may have found the issue. Apparently you have
to set it in the Profile AND the Sequence! Weird I’ll find out
for sure tonight.

Equipment profile is like a template…

If you had a previous sequence it does not get updated.

The idea is you may have a standard template that you want to use repeatedly however in that session of the sequence you may want to change settings just within that sequence.

example: dithering options
