Does not work in SGP.
There are ways to hack this, but none will be repeatable in any way to make it sufficiently accurate to use for autofocusing.

I had the guy who made FCUSB add a ‘checkbox’ that made ASCOM think it was an absolute focuser. Worked just fine. You just have to realize it isn’t perfect.

If you could get the ASCOM developer to do that for you… it would work.
