Setting Gain - ZWO camera

I am a little bit confused to say the least.
Gain (for ASI071) can be set in the control panel, in the equipment profile, in the camera driver and in the event settings.
Why not having only one place to set gain value? and
Which is the correct place to input the gain value?

It depends on how you want to use gain/offset. If you want to set a fixed gain/offset then just set the default value in the settings and forget about the rest. If you want to set gain per profile then set it in the camera control panel. If you want to set it per event then set it on the events.

The priority is:
Event Level
Control Panel
Default (Camera Settings)

Also the ā€œControl Panelā€ and ā€œEquipment Profileā€ are basically the same place. The ā€œControl Panelā€ is populated from the ā€œEquipment Profileā€ when you create a sequence with that profile.
