SG Pro plate solving

I have been using SkyX and am moving to SG Pro for my imaging. Can I use SkyX for plate solve or do I need to download other software?

SGP does not plate solve through TheSkyX. However we do support Pinpoint, PlateSolve2, and Astrometry.NET (both local and remote).

platesolve2 is included, just use that. it’s fast and works very well.

if you have a good internet connection, use Astrometry.net (online) as a backup.

Nope, you do not. Once you install the necessary files to your hard drive neither Platesolve nor Astrometry.net require an internet connection. Have been using both for several years now.
