SGP 3.02.94 not Opening

I’ve been successfully using a licensed version of the latest SGP 3.02.94 for a couple of weeks now with no major issues.

I’ve tried starting it up today but without success. I get the spinning wheel, but no window pops up and SGP just doesn’t start.

I’ve tried opening from the file location, running as administrator, uninstalling and re installing, removing all user config files, all to no avail.

I’ve tried downloading SGP 2.6.1.114 and installing that and it works absolutely fine.

I noticed last night and this morning, a windows update occurred;

2018-10 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1803

It’s too much of a coincidence surely that a Windows update hits and SGP3 now won’t work. It was working fine last night before the update

Use Win+R to bring up the run dialog then paste in %LocalAppData%\SequenceGenerator

When that opens find the sg_ui_config.xml file and delete it. Then Restart SGP.

Actually, before you delete it can you upload that file here? I’d like to see what’s going on and if I can address it.

That should get you going again.

I’ve removed the xml file you’ve mentioned and tried to restart SGP. Exactly the same as before unfortunately. You get the spinning blue wheel for a few seconds then nothing.

The task manager doesn’t show it running in the back ground.

Just for info Jared, I’ve done a full uninstall and managed to find everything SGP related on the hard drive and remove those manually.

Performed a reinstall again and v3 is working fine.

Glad it’s working. My next guess was going to be a default profile error of some sort. Which would have likely been cleared out when you reinstalled and removed things.
