“Slave on Connect” would be good…please 
Thanks for the confirmation Jared, was pulling what little hair I have out there thinking I had done done something wrong in my driver.
If you have a dome or roof configured I cant see why you would not want to slave on connection?
An option maybe just change the function/name of the ‘Slave to telescope’ to ‘Slave to Telescope on connection’ in the profile. If ticked it would enable the slave to telescope function in the control panel automatically. That would mean it works as expected for those of us who have ticked and those that had left it unticked so could manually slave would not see any change in behavior.
