I know that from the 2016 SGP features survey, that enhancements to the way targets are scheduled are coming in a future release. However, I would like to suggest a feature that would be very useful in the interim. In the “Target Settings” dialog box, I would like to see a “Next Meridian Time” field added to the “Time Constraints” section.
For me, my normal imaging window for a target is from 3 hrs east of the meridian to 3 hrs west. Currently when I am setting up a target, I have to go to TheSky, locate the target and get the transit time. Then mentally figure out the corresponding earliest start time and the latest ending time that I can use on the target that night. If the target needs to be imaged again the following month, all that has to be done again.
If the “Time Constraints” section displayed the next time that target crossed the meridian, it would make it much easier to fill in the Start / End times that I could use on that target.
