Thanks for the ability to paste coordinates from Stellarium to SGP. I had some problems with SGP parsing the wrong data from Stellarium’s object information fields, namely on deep sky objects. For some reason, SGP would grab the “Apparent Sidereal Time” information for the object, and use that for RA. It would then grab the “Size” information field and use those values for Declination. On stars, the data field population would work fine. After some head scratching, I went into Stellarium’s “Configuration” section, and turned off all data fields displayed except for object name, catalog number, RA/Dec(J2000), and type. Removing the extraneous numeric fields removed the issue for me.
This info may be useful for others using Stellarium as their planetarium/target selection software.
