I’ve observed a strange autofocus behavior with the latest beta (3.x.x.226). What happens is that I run AF and basically get a perfect V curve. SGP then takes a validation exposure, but then starts the whole AF run over again with the message “expanding autofocus range.” However the focuser positions are the same as the first attempt, so there is no “expanding range” going on.
Last night I was taking filter offsets so I was running constant AF runs and I observed this behavior often.
I’ve never had an issue with AF and I usually get nice V curves. So I’m not sure what’s going on.
LOGFILE - All of the AF runs for the offsets were taken early, until about 11pm.
