I have auto focus kick in with two situations: a drop of 5 degrees or after centering on a new object. I noticed last night that auto focus kicked into action as expected after centering, but instead of starting autofocus for temperatures, it created a reminder and paused for focus. I had to trigger autofocus myself. There didnt seem to be any timer running. Was I just being impatient and it would have done it by itself or do need change a setting?

Hrm, make sure you have “Use Autofocus” ticked in the equipment profile manager under the focus tab and not the “Focus Reminder”.

Click the “Set” button next to Use autofocus and check your settings.

Don’t forget to apply the profile to your sequence when done.

ps; Unless your using an SCT to image with there is really little to be gained by focusing after centering on a new target.
