Last night I attempted to run temperature compensation trainer and a sequence at the same time. The program would not let me. But last time I ran it (some years ago) I thought I could start the trainer, run a normal sequence all night, and then stop the trainer. Has something changed? Is my memory faulty? Am I doing something wrong?

I don’t believe the trainer ever allowed a sequence to be ran at the same time. I guess technically there isn’t really a reason this couldn’t be allowed. All it’s really doing is looking at temperature deltas between auto focus runs to calculate the temp compensation value.

It should be possible for an external program to parse the log files and extract temperature and position data which could be used to generate a temp compensation value. It wouldn’t need to be done by Ken or Jared.
