Is it possible to set a few asteroids in sequence? About 60 seconds exposure and then on to the next one. Of course there would need to be a provision for getting/stating the relevant positions. No guiding is required.

As long as you can type in the grid with enough fidelity to get it centered on your chip, I can’t imagine why not.
Whenever I’ve done this with comets or asteroids, I just use Sky Safari (and their ephemeris that is updated pretty regularly) for the RA/DEC and it works pretty well.
