Update: I installed the 3.0 beta, then uninstalled it (unrelated bug that’s now fixed so I might go back), re-installed the latest release version and the issue went away without changing any of the hardware side (i.e. I’m still setup with the hub etc).
This hardware config has worked for me fine when I was using Stellarium scope and astrotortilla in combo with Backyard EOS. Anyway SGP worked fairly well for me this past weekend after I reinstalled it.
