Any Sky Safari iPad Users?

#1

I’m using an EQ6 and now that the JNOW condition has been fixed I can accurately center using SGP but I have some sort of problem where Sky Safari is still offset. This isn’t a deal breaker for me right now but I sometimes like to navigate and frame using Sky Safari instead of the mosaic wizard. I’ve tried every combination of epoch settings b/w EQMOD, ansvr and Sky Safari to no avail.

Any clues?

It’s highly likely that the coordinates coming through the SkySafari interface aren’t getting translated back and forth. What is likely happening is that they’re being requested as J2000 and being synced as JNow. I’ll take a look into this and see if I can replicate.

Also I’m assuming that you’re mount is talking J2000?

Thanks,
Jared

I use EQMOD to communicate with the EQ6 and can set the driver to J2000.
