Autofocus while waiting for meridian flip

I would like to request that if there is enough time (user selectable) between the potential start of an exposure to the meridian flip time, that the scope perform an autofocus run. This is dead time waiting for the flip, so we might as well put that time to good use. This is especially important for narrowband targets where we have potentially a long wait till the meridian flip. Also, if autofocus is done through the narrowband filters, it can potentially increase imaging time by another frame over 1 night.

While I agree with this request, unfortunately we’re not at a place where we can have highly flexible scheduling like this. I hope in the future we can get to a place to have more adaptive running of events, but currently it’s pretty linear.

Thanks,
Jared
