Autofocus with Subframes?

Hi

I have a QHY11 which has a massive chip and as such it takes some time to download frames even when binned at 2x2. When I focus manually I use the subframe feature of Frame and Focus to speed up this process, is it possible to use this with the Autofocus functionality of SGPro?

Not currently, but it is on our radar. Just trying to figure out an intuitive way to define that subframe at the moment.

You can select to “Crop auto focus frames” but that is done post download.

Is it not possible to let the user select the subframe as normal and then report back if not suitable for autofocus?

May I suggest dividing the frame equally into say 5x5 =25 subframe and let the user choose which subframe out of the 25 to be used for focusing?

That is a reasonable idea. I think we would want to allow for the user to pick as many tiles as necessary though.

Did this fall off the Radar? It’s still something I could really do with as running autofocus without subframes on the large QHY11 chip is unfeasible given the download time?
