Focus position repeats too well

I’m using a scope with Optec Gemini focuser that has a very fine adjustments, 115 200 steps for 12.7mm travel.
I’m using a step size of around 4000, varying a little to fune tune focus.

After using it for a few nights i found that focus position for each filter repeats during the night which should be impossible, the only anomaly is one auto focus run where it ended up with bad focus…but the last 2 numbers in the position are still the same.
I wonder if there is problem with the calculations since focus position is exactly the same with a temperaturee change of over 10C during the night.

There might not be much change with my scope, but it should definitely not end up at the exact same position time after time.

That does seem a little suspect…but it’s also using the weighted average which is a fall back so it seems like something might not be working right. Do you have a screen shot of your V curve?

Here’s the ones from that file, most of them seem ok.

I have tried lowering the step size and it still seems to use fallback for smaller temperature changes.
Focus curve seems very consisten now with no misscalculations.
